¡Mi travesía hasta Wisconsin!

Coming Soon!

While the exhibit is touring to several locations yet this year, we have decided to offer more ways to engage.

Wisconsin Humanities has partnered with the Local Voices Network (LVN) to offer virtual conversations about immigration in Wisconsin.

We invite you to gather in small, intimate groups of 4-8 people for 90 minutes. These gatherings will be moderated by trained facilitators using a discussion guide. Conversations begin by getting to know a little about each other. Then as a group, you’ll hear from Cinthia, one of the women featured in Immigrant Journeys from South of the Border, and then talk about her personal experience as an immigrant living and working in Milwaukee. There will also be time to share your own experiences and hopes with regard to immigration in your community.

Immigrant Journeys conversations are important on several levels. One, they are a chance to talk and learn about an important issue. But secondly, thanks to our partnership with Local Voices Network, each gathering produces a digital record of participant’s perspectives, which will help civic leaders, journalists, legislators, and others hear from real people. People like you.
